There are two ways you can add discount codes for your event; creating a single discount code and multiple discount codes. We will go over both of them in this set of instructions. 

 

1. Go to Event Dashboard

Select Manage Event of the event you want to edit, and in the drop-down menu, select View Dashboard.

 

2. Go to Add Discount Codes page.

In the drop-down menu of Manage, click Discount Codes.

 

Note: The following instruction is specific to creating single discount codes; if you want to create multiple codes, feel free to skip this part and navigate to creating Bulk Discounts section.

3. Create a Discount Code.

In the drop-down menu of Create Discount, select Create a Discount.

 

4. Set up your Discount Code.

  • Specify your code in the Discount Code box;
  • Specify your discount in the Enter Discount box;
  • Choose to activate the code right now or not;
  • Select ticket types you want to apply this code on.

 

5. Customize your Discount Code and save.

In the Other Options expansion, you can customize your Discount Code settings:

  • You can set a required quantity range per order when applying this code (e.g. Attendee can only buy 1-4 tickets in their order to apply this discount code).
  • Choose how many times this code can be applied.
  • You can also set a valid period for your code; your discount code will appear as "Not active" when it is outside of the period (e.g. If your code is specifically for Christmas, it makes sense to set the expiry date after the Christmas holiday.).

 

6. Test Your Code.

After clicking Create Discount, you can test your code in the drop-down menu of Action in front of each Discount Code. 

 

This is what your attendee will see when they apply a discount code.

Now you are done creating one discount code; share this code to your attendee!

3. Create Bulk Discounts.

Click Create Discount, and in the drop-down menu, select Create Bulk Discounts.

 

4. Set up your Discount Codes.

  • Paste all your codes in the Discount Code box (20 codes maximum per time);
  • Specify your discount in the Enter Discount box (Note: all the codes must have the same discount per time);
  • Choose to activate the codes right now or not;
  • Select ticket types you want to apply these codes on.

 

5. Customize your codes and save.
