EventNook onsite badge printing can technically support all printers. However, depending on whether we need to print from iOS, Windows, or Mac, the connection of printing and setup will be different. Some printers are supporting only limited connections type such as USB, Serial, Wireless, Bluetooth, and Airprint.

We recommend using the mobile-enabled Airprint support printers in order to make setup easy and straightforward. EventNook iOS Kiosk Check-in app can directly connect to all printers that support Airprint wirelessly and print easily.

What's Airprint? AirPrint is a feature in Apple Inc.'s macOS and iOS operating systems for printing without installing printer-specific drivers. Connection is via a wireless LAN, either directly to AirPrint-compatible printers, or to non-compatible shared printers by way of a computer running Microsoft Windows, Linux, or macOS. For name badge printing with the EventNook app, we recommend the following printers that are popular and frequently used by our clients.

The Zebra thermal label printer is great for events that require printing a custom design badge with branding, quality art-card material, and fast-speed printing (est. 2 seconds per badge).

Notes:

(*) To print from EventNook (iOS) Kiosk App, the printer needs a print server to share it wirelessly via Airprint protocol to iOS devices. Printopia software can be installed in Apple Macbook for sharing printers wirelessly.
