1. Payment Methods and Currencies Supported By EventNook with Stripe Platform

EventNook currently supports the following payment methods available out of the box with the Stripe platform.

  • Cards (Visa, Master, Amex)

  • Apple Pay

Registrants can pay with Apple Pay while purchasing the event with a Safari browser on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Registrants can pay with Google Pay while purchasing the event Chrome browser with a Google account logged in.

  • AliPay

Multi-Currency (135 Currencies)

Stripe supports processing payments in 135+ currencies, allowing you to sell your event or ticket sales in your preferred currency. The settlement currency will be in your local base currency, and you will receive the payment in your local base currency while it allows you to accept payment with a choice from 135 currencies.

2. Selling with Local vs Foreign Currency

If you are selling with foreign currency (non-local currency), Stripe will immediately convert the foreign currency's payment into local currency based on the current foreign exchange rate.

You can link your Stripe account setting on EventNook, and you will receive the payment from ticket sales directly to your Stripe account.

3. What are the fees from Stripe?

Stripe fees will vary based on the country of the merchant. Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for US customers.

To know the Stripe fee rate for your region, check out the Stripe website - https://www.stripe.com/pricing.

Important: If you have a large transaction volume, please talk to the Stripe sales team for a volume rate.

4. Payout from Stripe

In Stripe, you can choose the following options to transfer the fund from Stripe to your local bank account.

· Automatic (Schedule to automatically transfer fund daily, weekly, or monthly to your bank account)

· Manual (Transfer manually as and when you request)

Note: When you set up your Stripe account, you will be requested to provide your bank account for payout.

5. How do I kick start accepting payment on EventNook with the Stripe platform?

6. How to Refund buyers

In Refund, refund payment is straightforward. Stripe allows partial and full refunds to your registrants from their payment admin dashboard.

You can refund charges made to your account, either in whole or in part. Refunds use your available Stripe balance—this doesn't include any pending balance. If your available balance doesn't cover the Refund amount, Stripe debits the remaining amount from your bank account.

If Stripe can't debit the remaining amount from your bank account, your refunds may remain pending until you add funds to your Stripe balance. You can view a list of all your pending refunds in the Dashboard.

If the original charge underwent currency conversion, the refunded amount converts back using the same process. There are no fees to refund a charge, but the fees from the original charge aren't returned.

Stripe submits refund requests to your registrants' bank or card issuer. Your registrants see the refund as a credit approximately 5-10 business days later, depending upon the bank. Once issued, a refund cannot be canceled. Disputes and chargebacks aren't possible on credit card charges that are fully refunded.
